As a member of our Special Projects Management Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across the warehouse. This role is critical to the success of our location, with a strong focus on inventory control, special customer projects, and developing our warehouse team through hands-on leadership and training. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of wholesale distribution warehouse operations and processes
  • Proven ability to manage inventory control functions with accuracy and accountability
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with both office and warehouse teams
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and basic systems navigation
  • Solid math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English in a warehouse environment
  • At least 4 years of experience in wholesale distributor operations
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience
  • Proven ability to lead projects independently and see them through to completion
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Visual, hearing, and speech acuity required
  • Comfort working in warehouse conditions, including exposure to temperature changes, noise, and fumes

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead all major warehouse projects planned throughout the year
  • Oversee Special Customer Orders (SCO), including job trailers and MTR-required orders
  • Lead onboarding training for new employees and support ongoing development of operational staff
  • Own all inventory control functions, including cycle counts, location management, and error resolution
  • Coordinate with the Sales Team to understand and support customer-specific needs
  • Manage daily workflows to ensure deadlines and customer expectations are met
  • Coordinate job trailer deliveries with dispatch and communicate details to sales
  • Track performance metrics and set goals for productivity and accuracy
  • Communicate regularly with leadership regarding staffing needs, opportunities, and operational changes
  • Perform hands-on warehouse work as needed, including cutting, threading, grooving, beveling, picking, and loading material
  • Ensure safety standards, company policies, and quality expectations are consistently followed
