Position Overview: The Manager of Project Management will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered successfully while fostering a high-performing team culture. This position offers the opportunity to influence the success of projects, improve internal processes, and work closely with senior leadership and customers to achieve business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a manufacturing, service, or technology-related industry
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring project teams, ideally in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Proven track record in scheduling management, including resource planning, managing project timelines, and coordinating multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with project cost management, including budgeting, cost forecasting, and cost reduction strategies
  • Experience in customer-facing roles and stakeholder management, particularly in reporting and coordinating with clients or departments
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to create clear reports, agendas, and presentations
  • Experience in conducting meetings with internal teams and clients, including preparing agendas, status updates, and lessons learned
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, with the capacity to oversee both high-level strategy and day-to-day operations
  • Proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement, cost reductions, and process optimization
  • High degree of adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (optional but preferred for higher-level strategic management)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 Certification to demonstrate expertise in project management principles
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification or Agile Certification may be beneficial for process improvement and handling production-related challenges
  • SAP 4/HANA experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Project Management team in executing company-wide scheduling responsibilities
  • Oversee the project management team to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet customer expectations
  • Conduct cross-functional scheduling meetings with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service, and Finance supervisors to maintain and optimize Project schedules
  • Escalate scheduling conflicts to department supervisors
  • Distribute employee schedules
  • Develop and maintain schedules for new projects and forecasted work, coordinate resource allocation, and distribute updated schedules to all departments
  • Collaborate with department supervisors to track and update task completion percentages for project-specific deliverables
  • Manage, mentor, and support the Project team to assume responsibility for production line projects (project and build only), which include the following:
  • Weekly project status reports
  • Preparation of project and stock bills of materials
  • Customer interfacing
  • Projects and cost tracking
  • Project cost reduction recommendations
  • Leading lessons learned meetings
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation
  • Monitor project schedules, project working hours, planning, deadlines, and budgets
  • At risk reporting
  • Manage, mentor, and support the Project team and work with the IT team to create and maintain reports:
  • Department capacity reports from schedules
  • Project Budget vs Actual monitoring and management
  • Customer reports (when required)
  • Generate project audits (when required)
  • On time delivery reports
  • Capacity reports
  • Project financial analysis reports
  • Manage, mentor, and support the Project team to create and maintain project job dashboards
  • Manage, mentor, and support the Project team to prepare agendas, schedule, and conduct production meetings
  • Manage, mentor, and support the Project team to attend sales meetings to obtain forecasting information for scheduling
  • Manage, mentor, and support the Project team to coordinate and organize commercial kickoff meetings
