About The Position

Albemarle County is seeking a Chief of Project Management to lead the design and construction of capital projects that shape our community’s future. This role oversees a team of project managers and ensures successful delivery of infrastructure projects from concept to completion. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years in technical project management; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid Virginia Driver’s License.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and construction methods.

Responsibilities

  • Manage planning, design, and construction of capital projects.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and schedules.
  • Establish best practices for project delivery.
  • Coordinate with departments and external partners.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project management staff.
