About The Position

The Manager of Human Resources and Analysis is an HR role that combines human resources management and analysis. This position oversees accurate and timely payroll processing and HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance. Additionally, this role is responsible for analysis and reporting of HR-related data to support strategic decision-making and improve workforce planning. It requires strong attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, an understanding of best practices, and proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems. This position will have direct oversight and leadership of other positions in the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, HRIS, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR capacity.
  • Experience in the quality and content of financial data, HR Metrics, and reporting for either a division or significant program area.
  • Previous experience supervising other human resources professionals.
  • Ability to translate financial concepts to - and to effectively collaborate with -- programmatic and fundraising colleagues who do not necessarily have human resources backgrounds.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement, tact, and diplomacy; making decisions in a logical manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet software such as Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members across departments.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving techniques.
  • Capability to stay organized and maintain detailed records.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of benefits and payroll systems/processing. Includes bi-weekly review of payroll, related system maintenance/monitoring, audit, compliance, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure change management and data integrity across systems .
  • Guide and/or assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.
  • In partnership with outsourced payroll processing company, maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Administer hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, offboarding, leave of absence administration, performance reviews, staff development, and timesheet approval.
  • Liasson with outsourced human resources and benefits consultants.
  • Work with outsourced human resources consultants to create or update job descriptions and oversee employee training programs in areas of direct supervision.
  • Oversee background check process for Community Impact Volunteers (CIVs).
  • Help uphold, write, and improve human resources policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with and support leadership and department managers in HR-related matters including policy and SOP creation and compliance, various deadlines, and data needs.
  • Research and analyze data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, employee satisfaction, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Design and publish dashboards and provide data visualization to monitor and provide transparency into HR metrics against benchmarks and other workforce statistics.
  • Help convert analyses into clear initiatives.
  • Facilitate implementation of new training, development, recruiting, and other related initiatives.
  • Help deploy and maintain new human resources and analysis platforms.
  • Help maintain internal controls by periodically evaluating the integrity of processes and updating their written procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies with staff; be a resource to answer questions and provide insights.
  • Uphold and reflect the values of the company in word and action.
