The Manager of Corporate Communications is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that enhances the organization’s reputation, strengthens brand equity, and ensures consistent and effective messaging across all internal and external channels. This leader oversees media relations, executive communications, crisis management, employee communications, and thought leadership initiatives. In addition: Manages, develops, and implements a comprehensive strategic communications program for the organization. Both internally and for external consumption Effectively presents the organization/FAA story to the public. Develops and delivers internal and external (advertising, publicity) communications and publications, such as brochures, annual reports, quarterly newsletters, crisis management manuals and quick reference cards, media kits, feature stories, press releases, advertisements, posters, and billboards. Builds relationships with news media, including television, radio, newspapers, and wire services. Is available and prepared to respond to media in the event of a crisis or other newsworthy event. Secures on-air interviews, both radio and television, for the executive staff and government personel. Secures or provides photography, as needed. Writes speeches for executives as needed. (or currates)

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 10 years of experience, preferably within Communications and/or a relatable area
  • Understanding of FAA Stakeholder community
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work within quick deadlines
  • Experience curating messaging for public consumption, that aligns with customer approved messaging
