About The Position

We exist so families can get better together. Each night, we keep 181 families close to the care and resources they need through six area Ronald McDonald Houses® and four Ronald McDonald Family Rooms®. Enabling families to stay close to their hospitalized child supports the health and well-being of the child and saves families more than $10 million in hotel and food costs each year. We also operate the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® program, providing medical care to children in underserved areas. Ronald McDonald House Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana is an independent not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The Manager of Corporate and Community Giving plays an integral role in driving the activities of the development team to advance Ronald McDonald House Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana’s mission. This position is responsible for growing revenue with new and existing corporate and community partners through developing and implementing cultivation, stewardship and engagement strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of corporate development, marketing, and/or sales experience.
  • Donor stewardship and financial proposal experience required.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term term strategic initiatives.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, board members, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.
  • Working knowledge with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and must be comfortable with public speaking
  • Comfortable making financial asks of individuals and corporations
  • Ability to travel throughout Chicagoland area is required with personal vehicle or other means.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Light sedentary office work.
  • Frequently required to sit.
  • Ability to travel to other program sites or events as needed.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel; talk or hear.

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the Director of Development, Corporate Engagement and the Associate Director of Events and Corporate Engagement, develop new corporate partnerships and expand existing corporate partners, identifying shared values and revenue goals through employee giving campaigns, event sponsorships, annual fund support, in-kind gifts, and cause marketing activations.
  • Expand corporate partner pipeline through identification, evaluation and stewardship strategies
  • Meet financial commitments and assigned targets for corporate partnership commitments, and other key financial performance objectives, regularly reporting on these metrics.
  • Act as a Brand Liaison by participating in and attending partner and special events as assigned, including some weekends and evening hours during the week.
  • Act as Development lead, collaborating with internal stakeholders, to manage the gift-in-kind platform.
  • Develop strategies for partner acquisition and partner retention for new and existing partners, owning the full sales cycle.
  • Oversight of community giving revenue stream, generating roughly $1M of annual support, through building relationships with community giving hosts and building upon event participation YOY.
  • Evaluate event requests and determine appropriate level of engagement for the Charity.
  • Act as Brand Liaison participating in community events as required
  • Partner with Associate Director, Events and Corporate Engagement in working with the Red Shoe Society (RSS), including collaboration with RSS board leadership and committees.
  • Assist Associate Director of Events and Corporate Engagement with signature event planning and auction oversight, including all charity signature events and stewardship events.
  • Manage charity auction at all signature events including procurement, auction execution and stewarding auction partners.
  • Other requirements as assigned.
