I. BASIC FUNCTION: The Manager of Clinical Support (MCS) leads a team of Registered Nurses (RN), Patient Care Coordinators (PCC) and Medical Assistants (MA). This position is responsible for ensuring that the clinical team is providing excellent and comprehensive outpatient health care services to FCHC patients and their families. The MCS will report to the Director of Nursing (DON) and collaborate with providers, Health Center Administrators (HCA), operations and other department managers to deliver premier care to the community and patients we serve. II. INTERDEPARTMENTAL RELATIONSHIPS: Department Officer: Chief Operations Officer Reports to: Director of Nursing Direct Reports: Registered Nurses, Patient Care Coordinators, and Medical Assistants III. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: This individual is responsible for educating, training and supporting the clinical team using population health strategies. While focused on the daily tasks and flow of the clinic, this role will identify process improvement activities, create workflows, implement change and monitor progress to maximize patient care. The ability to quickly adapt and address clinical needs of the patient and support staff are essential. The MCS works closely with the DON to support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care across all nursing services. In addition, this individual will collaborate with the DON to align clinical support operations with nursing leadership priorities, organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
