The Role Manage the competition and schedule for all designated National Campus-run events. Manage daily tournament competition and administrative needs Serve as the on-site contact for all assigned events and manage the event day competition roles Manage all tournament host applications Manage the set-up of tournaments in Serve Tennis and any other application software being used for campus-run events Create a P&L statement for assigned events and manage the budget for each event. Manage revenue and expenses for assigned events, contracts, and vendors Hire referees and work with USTA officiating for all officiating needs, contracts, and payments Create tournament schedules and match schedule plans in conjunction with the tournament referee for each event Create and implement marketing and promotional strategies around the events Develop a staffing plan for each event. Work with the tournament services manager to schedule facilities staff. Serve as tournament director, competition director, or tournament staff for USTA National Campus-run events as assigned. Provide communication with tournament/event participants before, during, and after each event Liaise with players of varying backgrounds and levels of playing ability (Jr., Collegiate, Adult, Professional, Wheelchair) Coordinate with the events team on the tournament logistics, including registration, outside vendors, player services, food & beverage requests, officiating needs, signage needs, and any other facility-related needs Lead planning meetings and post-event wrap-up meetings Participate in community & partnership events as needed Work cross-functionally as requested Other Duties as assigned Who You Are Computer Skills - must be proficient in Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, Forms & Presentations; Serve Tennis; and other programs as needed Extensive experience in tennis tournament competition and operations Familiarization with rules of tennis and tennis-related software · Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Must be available to work weekends and evenings as needed Interpersonal skills High level of organization This position is designated as "on-site" and requires the employee to be at the office site to complete the required tasks associated with the position on designated event days What We Offer At the USTA, we know people are our most important asset. The expected range for the annual base salary for this position is $60,000 - 65,000. This role is eligible for an Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) Ascend bonus, up to 5%. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
