About The Position

To lead, direct, and supervise campus operations for all of ACC’s North Campuses, which include Round Rock Campus, San Gabriel Campus, Cypress Creek Campus, and Northridge Campus. This position also serves as the Round Rock Campus Manager, is based at the Round Rock Campus, and serves as the local community liaison within the North Region. North Region includes: Round Rock, San Gabriel, Cypress Creek and Northridge campuses. This position will be based out of the Round Rock Campus. Central Region includes: Highland, Elgin, Rio Grande, Eastview campuses and the Health Science Academy. Highland includes the Highland Business Center and Service Center. This position will be based out of the Highland Campus. South Region includes: South Austin, Riverside, Hays campuses and the South Service Center. The location of this position will be determined once hired.

  • Three years related work experience including one year supervisory experience.
  • Education cannot be substituted for supervisory experience.
  • Completion of the ACC Supervisor Certificate Series Program will satisfy the supervisory experience required for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation for travel in the Austin area as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years or more of experience in business operations, facilities management or higher education, and three years supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with community organizations.
  • Experience in facilities management and/or supervising business operations.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Public Administration, Higher Education or related field.
  • Strong understanding of campus or office management systems.
  • Experience with building operations functions.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, trains, coaches, directs, coordinates, and disciplines personnel while adhering to organizational human resource policies and procedures as well as related employment laws.
  • Recommends hire/termination actions and performs other personnel actions for positions supervised.
  • Supervises the Campus Managers and Campus Coordinator in the assigned regions.
  • Responsible for all campus operations in assigned region, including hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of staff; budget development and monitoring; facilities contracts; course scheduling; and classroom scheduling and maintenance.
  • Oversees all campus management requests from work orders.
  • Oversees campus-wide room scheduling for academic classes and meetings.
  • Serves on Steering Committees for future campuses in assigned regional area.
  • Disseminates college-wide and campus information via campus email and postings.
  • Plans, develops, recommends, and oversees ACC campus budgets; approves campus expenditures.
  • Prepares campus reports such as room utilization and availability, space, fixed assets, and ad-hoc reports.
  • Develops, writes, and implements operating policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with community leaders to establish and maintain the ACC campus as an involved community partner with advisory groups, school districts, chambers of commerce, economic developers, and other community members.
  • Represents the Vice President, Safety and Operations on various internal and external committees as needed.
  • Oversees and participates in special campus projects, planning groups, as needed.
  • Required travel to other campuses as needed.
  • Supervise safe operation of unit.
  • Facilitate safety inspections.
  • Take reasonable and prudent actions to eliminate identified hazards.
  • Ensure employees receive appropriate safety training and foster a workplace safety culture.
