About The Position

The Manager, Ministry Formation on the System Office team is responsible for management of Formation programs that serve audiences across our healing Ministry. Through content development, collaboration, and facilitation, this role enables leaders, clinicians, associates, and partners to flourish in community and promotes the ongoing integrity of Ascension’s identity as a ministry of the Catholic Church. Please note this is a Remote position with occasional travel required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Theology, Spirituality, Divinity, Pastoral Studies, Healthcare Mission Leadership, Ethics, Servant Leadership, or related field is required. Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 1 year applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • 1 year of leadership/management experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Theology or Healthcare Mission Leadership preferred.
  • Working understanding of Ministry Formation as defined by the Catholic Health Association of the United States.
  • Capacity to facilitate standard and curated curriculum and experiences in small and large-group environments.
  • Strong, positive interpersonal and communication skills with direct report, colleagues, and program participants.
  • Ability to lead in a matrixed environment, with teams both locally and nationally.
  • Strong program management and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of or capacity to quickly learn healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple existing and some new programs: logistics, curriculum, implementation, facilitator training, tracking, and reporting.
  • Facilitate in multiple programs and with teams across the ministry, ensuring strong engagement, outcomes, and growth.
  • Create, evaluate and revise work plans and delivery processes needed to directly provide programs, services and resources to implement the Ministry Formation Portfolio.
  • Collaborate with others to integrate ministry identity within key areas of assignment and accountability and through specific initiatives, programs and priorities.
  • Foster a culture of theological and spiritual reflection, ethical discernment and Mission and Values within teams and areas of responsibility.
