About The Position

The Manager Middleware & Identity Management ensures reliable operation, administration, and continuous improvement of the firm's middleware and identity access management (IAM) technologies. This role involves supervising a team of technical professionals, overseeing daily service delivery, and implementing best practices to enhance interoperability, system integration, and secure user access. The manager balances operational excellence with people leadership to support organizational technology objectives, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6-8+ years of experience in middleware and/or IAM technologies, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Expert knowledge of middleware platforms (e.g., application servers, integration tools) and IAM solutions (e.g., Azure AD, SailPoint).
  • Strong understanding of IT service management (incident, change, problem).
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop staff, manage performance, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly across technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of middleware and IAM technical staff, including hiring, training and development, performance management, and compensation recommendations.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and mentoring to team members to support professional growth.
  • Oversee daily operations of middleware platforms and IAM services (e.g., provisioning/de-provisioning, SSO, MFA, RBAC).
  • Ensure timely delivery of incident resolution, service requests, and small to medium projects.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and access management policies.
  • Contribute to the development of roadmaps and migration strategies for middleware and IAM platforms.
  • Support project delivery by assigning resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring on-time execution.
  • Partner with architects and senior managers on initiatives involving cloud, integration, and IAM enhancements.
  • Support risk management efforts by embedding security and access controls into service delivery.
  • Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance for IAM practices.
  • Maintain team documentation, dashboards, and metrics for tracking service performance and project outcomes.
  • Coordinate vendor interactions and assist in monitoring costs and budget adherence.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
