About The Position
The Middleware Engineer plays a vital role in our organization by managing and maintaining the middleware infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of various systems, and optimizing the performance of middleware components. This position is crucial for the smooth functioning of our IT operations, as it directly impacts the overall efficiency and reliability of our systems. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs. May require a bachelor's degree. Requires 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a project lead or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in middleware administration and engineering
- Strong understanding of middleware technologies such as JBoss, WebSphere, or WebLogic
- Proficiency in Java programming and scripting languages
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Knowledge of networking and security concepts related to middleware
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex middleware issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Understanding of ITIL framework and best practices
- Relevant certifications such as IBM Certified System Administrator or Oracle WebLogic Certification
