About The Position

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an experienced manager leading teams supporting Oracle and Sql database, SharePoint, Middleware technologies such as Business Objects, Control-M, and PeopleSoft for federal customers in the DC metropolitan area. This hybrid position offers a combination of remote work and periodic on-site support and customer meetings. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Lead technical team providing day-to-day operations and engineering support for Middleware technologies such as business objects, Control-M, etc. Lead the teams administering and maintaining 5000+ Oracle and Sql databases in the environments. Lead teams administering and operating SharePoint online, document mgmt. systems, and software development tools supported by the team Responsible for providing oversight and incident resolution for supported technologies Lead agencies automation and Generative AI implementations lead by the team Conduct regular security assessments and audits of the supported technologies to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations. Stay current with emerging industry best practice and trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • ITIL v4 certification is required
  • Demonstrable credentials reflecting knowledge, skills, and experience in database security and vulnerability assessment.
  • 10+ years of experience in database security, database administration, or information security.
  • 3+ years of experience securing diverse database platforms in enterprise or large-scale environments.
  • Proven experience securely managing at least 1000+ databases in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise environments with mixed database technologies, including Oracle, and SQL.
  • Experience leading Business Objects, and Datawarehouse technologies
  • Experience with WebSphere and Control-M technologies
  • Experience with PeopleSoft support
  • Experience integrating database security tools with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for identifying and addressing database security issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • US Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with federal security regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining detailed documentation for database security practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based database security practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based SharePoint online and document management system
  • Must have experience supporting a government agency.
