Job Summary: The Marketing Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging strategic planning and technical execution for Caterpillar's OnPoint initiative, which delivers personalized digital marketing at scale. This role ensures seamless execution of marketing automation, optimizes performance, and maintains compliance across regions. The position will collaborate closely with business partners, dealers, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud teams, and may expand to cover Caterpillar-wide Marketing Automation operations. This role will be part of the Digital Marketing Enablement team, leading 3-6 individual contributors.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or related field (master's preferred) OR equivalent working experience
  • Experience in marketing operations or digital marketing, with leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own the creation, maintenance, and optimization of customer journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Standardize templates and workflows to reduce dealer burden and accelerate onboarding.
  • Develop and manage segmentation strategies leveraging Caterpillar and dealer data.
  • Ensure compliance with opt-in rules and exclusion lists for targeted campaigns.
  • Coordinate with creative teams to deliver dealer-approved, brand-compliant content.
  • Ensure translation and localization for global markets.
  • Drive consistency among dealer marketing automation journeys.
  • Oversee campaign scheduling, dealer notifications, and performance reporting.
  • Maintain documentation and playbooks for operational processes.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and across related teams.
