What you will do Coordination and administration of the manufacturing and product engineering systems. Ensure that all engineering information and manufacturing processes are adequate to produce units in accordance with the customer requirements (Quality, OTD and Cost). Responsible of Environment Requirements to Health & Safety (EHS). Will assess current state performance, identify gaps, visualize and establish a plan to get to the future state, monitor progress and share/acquire best-in-class ideas and systems. Comply with the guidelines and regulations of Environmental Health & Safety. How you will do it PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Development of annual cost reduction plan identifying improvement opportunities on products and manufacturing process. Identify Best Business Practices in order to establish strategies. Asses the current state of the plant’s operation; Development of future state vision and drive and monitor the implementation plan. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. Defines, justifies and implements capital projects. Defines operational process sequences, production facilities and layouts, tooling and fixtures, establishes time standards. Assist Plant Manager in any strategic initiative that will help in compliance with standards, implement new systems, and design creative solutions that will continuously improve the plant performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Formal certification and experience on Six Sigma
  • Expert in Lean Manufacturing.
  • Has shown initiative, the desire to drive changes and is self-motivated
  • Leadership skills and able to manage both vertically and horizontally.
