About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager, Key Account. The Manager will play a critical role in growing and managing our partner's Proficiency Testing (PT) business across key strategic accounts and distributors. This position emphasizes strengthening customer relationships, expanding market share, and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve overall sales and business goals. Strong communication skills, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the clinical diagnostics market are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Medical Technology, Business, or related field required.
  • 5-7 years of successful account management or sales experience in the IVD, diagnostic, clinical laboratory, or life sciences industry.
  • Proven experience in contract review, negotiation, and management.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts with revenue responsibility of $2M+.
  • Strong understanding of molecular diagnostic technologies and quality control testing.
  • Knowledge of molecular diagnostics, clinical laboratory operations, and infectious disease testing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization.
  • Up to 50% global travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for PT programs across key accounts and strategic reference laboratory accounts.
  • Drive sales growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities with hospitals, laboratories, and reference facilities.
  • Develop account-specific strategies to retain and expand relationships with existing customers.
  • Manage key partnerships, ensuring alignment with sales goals, pricing strategy, and product positioning.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high customer satisfaction and smooth execution of orders.
  • Provide voice-of-customer feedback to inform product enhancements and new product development.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in proficiency testing.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed account reports, forecasts, and updates to senior leadership.
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote products.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver results within deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
