About The Position

The Manager IT Finance Operations is responsible for the analytical review, process governance, and oversight of IT financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and vendor/supplier management. This role ensures financial integrity and operational efficiency across IT operations and vendor relationships, serving as a financial advisor to IT leadership and acting as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors. The manager will develop and refine procurement and financial strategies, govern contract management, renewals, and negotiations, and maintain best-in-class financial and vendor support processes. The manager will engage with executive leadership and showcase data-driven strategic decision-making. Experienced with Excel, enabling the development and communication of executive-leveleports and presentations.

Requirements

  • Strong grasp of balance sheets, P&L, ROI, budgeting, cost allocations, and capital vs. operating concepts.
  • Extensive experience with forecasting, budgeting, accruals, purchase orders, and month-end reconciliations.
  • Development of executive-level dashboards and reports to support strategic decisions, using tools such as Power BI, Excel, etc.
  • Contract management, renewals, vendor analytics, and strategic sourcing
  • Ability to build professional relationships across all levels of the organization (leaders, peers, customers, work groups).
  • Flexibility to pivot with a shift in priorities
  • Self-driven and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to design and implement governance frameworks and tooling enhancements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to present ideas clearly.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Administration, or related field
  • 5 years or more in Finance, Accounting, IT Planning, and/or Strategic Portfolio Management
  • 5 years or more in Previous experience conducting presentations and supervising others.
  • 1 year or more in Prior experience conducting presentations to both internal & external customers
  • 1 year or more in Prior experience in negotiations and building strategic business relationships
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams Advanced
  • Dashboards & Reporting – Power BI and Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros) Advanced
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network/ communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, and application development and IT Services Advanced
  • Knowledge of financial management processes and best practices such as budgeting, cost allocations, capital, and operating expense processing Advanced

Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial management processes, including forecasting, budgeting, accruals, purchase orders, and month-end reconciliations across multiple portfolios.
  • Review IT financial and operational results, compare actuals to plan, forecast, and contract commitments.
  • Identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Act as financial advisor to IT leadership and project teams
  • Oversee supplier engagement processes to ensure strategic alignment, effective onboarding, and consistent vendor performance across the technology organization.
  • Manage end-to-end vendor payment workflows, ensuring timely execution, compliance with contract terms, and continuous improvement of financial operations related to vendor management.
  • Own the end-to-end contract management lifecycle and process, ensuring alignment with vendor performance, compliance standards, and organizational objectives.
  • Ensure financial integrity of IT results and coordinate reporting between IT, Finance, and other business units.
  • Support monthly forecasting and annual planning for IT budgets and vendor spend.
  • Support TBM initiatives and analytical insights.
  • Experience with Power BI and/or Excel, enabling the development of dashboards and reports to showcase data-driven decision-making and strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate and engage with Procurement to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with IT and business goals.
  • Conduct research and continuous improvement initiatives for vendor and contract management.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop direct reports.
  • Foster collaboration with technology leadership, internal business and support teams.
