About The Position

The Manager, Internal Communications, is responsible for supporting the Corporate & Brand Communications department across its various areas of oversight with heavy focus on internal and employee-facing communications. The Manager will be responsible for aligning with their supervisor on prioritization of their work to support the overall business objectives of the department. Responsibilities also include assisting departmental management and carrying out the functional job tasks associated with the department’s business purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations or similar discipline is preferred; minimum four to five years of experience in a consumer or business-oriented communications environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong computer skills including Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Drive required
  • Strong organization skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong research skills and proven ability to be resourceful
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly
  • Has excellent writing skills including strong foundation in AP Style, as well as ability to spot and correct errors in punctuation, grammar, etc.
  • Excellent organization, time and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with organization tools such as Microsoft Planner, Airtable, Workfront, Mailchimp, etc.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the capacity to communicate via text/messenger with a fast response time
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and work proactively in a fast paced, high volume, creative and deadline-oriented environment; ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround
  • Experience working with high-level executives and maintaining the utmost of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the company
  • MUST be able to operate independently
  • A passion for entertainment and popular culture

Responsibilities

  • Compiles, writes entries and distributes weekly Employee Newsletter
  • Develops strategy, builds plan and timeline, and executes internal events; works with cross-functional teams, sources vendors, coordinates across all offices, drafts and deploys employee communications and invites, and completes post-event activities
  • Supports VP on company-wide employee meetings and executive updates including logistics management and gathering materials from the executive team
  • Leads in management of company’s employee Intranet, including updates for corporate, brand and series communications, as well as coordinating posts with other departments
  • Oversee Internal Communications timeline including department updates and distribution
  • Writes employee communications including event invites and department updates
  • Assists with creative requests for department through Workfront
  • Assists in booking photographers, groomers and travel accommodations
  • Assists in maintaining department’s material archive and central database on an ongoing basis
  • Processes invoices for payment and corresponds with vendors for necessary information
  • Partners with HR, Marketing and Facilities in updating branding throughout offices
  • Assists with and distributes company’s daily press coverage reports
