About The Position

The Office of Engagement and Extension (OEE) is a dynamic catalyst for learning, discovery, and impact across Colorado, the United States, and worldwide. As Colorado State University's front door to the world, OEE is evolving to meet the changing needs of learners, communities, and industries through bold, accessible, and forward-thinking approaches. With a mission rooted in CSU's land-grant heritage and vision aligned with CSU's Strategic Roadmap, OEE encompasses CSU Extension, CSU Learning Innovation Team (including CSU Online, CSU Professional Education, CSU Extension Programs, and OLLI), the Colorado Water Center, and other high-impact programs. Together, these efforts connect CSU's teaching, research, and service missions to the real-world challenges and opportunities facing Coloradans and global learners alike. The CSU Learning Innovation Team, housed within OEE, leads the design and activation of educational solutions that are agile, accessible, and aligned to the needs of modern learners. This team fosters cross-campus and cross-sector collaboration to co-create offerings that are responsive, scalable, and learner-centered-inspiring individuals to thrive across a lifetime of learning. Colorado State University encourages professional development and provides an Employee Study Privilege with up to nine credit hours of tuition assistance annually. The manager for Instructional Design Services is responsible for the creation of the courses and learning assets that make up OEE's overall portfolio of offerings. This position works closely with partners (including internal to OEE, across colleges and departments at CSU, and external to the university) to develop a portfolio of course offerings and educational assets that fit the organization and partners' objectives. This position provides strategic oversight and portfolio management of educational solutions, with direct responsibility for cultivating and maintaining high-impact relationships with academic departments, institutional partners, and key stakeholders across and beyond OEE and CSU. This position plays a critical role in shaping the success or failure of assigned areas of accountability by enabling more direct and responsive collaboration with online programs, departments, and external stakeholders.
