About The Position

Are you experienced in inside sales, have a passion for satellite technology, and have a desire to work on cutting-edge projects and services? Then you’ll be excited about the Inside Sales Manager opening. In this position you’ll be responsible for inside sales activities in support of Iridium’s Commercial and Government sales and channel partner organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical or business-related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in technical or business role in high-tech industry
  • Knowledge and working experience with Iridium’s current and legacy systems including, SPNetPro; Iridium Prepaid system; Core Integrator; Dynamic CRM and Microsoft Office
  • High Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g. Dynamics, Salesforce) entering and managing leads, opportunities and accounts.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues to groups outside of your team or those who are unfamiliar with the topic
  • Have confidence and be able to easily build relationships with leadership and colleagues outside of your team
  • Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions and come up with out-of-the-box solutions
  • Be proactive in providing feedback and be enthusiastic in sharing your knowledge with others
  • Capable of prioritizing your own tasks and potentially the tasks of others while making sure deadlines are met
  • Be able to work in the office at least 3 or more days a week to foster collaboration with the team and stakeholders
  • Be able to work across all continents of the globe across remote teams to support business development activities that serve to accelerate the performance of our partners and the overall Iridium business
  • Be available for global work hours
  • Be able to travel up to 10%

Nice To Haves

  • 4-6 years of experience in a customer service or technical support environment within the telecommunications industry
  • Experience and knowledge of Iridium products and services

Responsibilities

  • Foster and develop a highly effective team of Inside Sales Specialist to building our sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying leads through outbound outreach and inbound follow-up.
  • Mentor and train your team by performing regular check-ins, discussing
  • Oversee inside sales specialist intake, assignment, and disposition to ensure every lead is properly tracked, qualified, and followed through by the Business Development team within the Dynamics CRM.
  • Maintain ownership of the Sales/Business Development email inbox workflow - monitoring, prioritizing, and coordinating responses to ensure no inquiry or lead goes unaddressed and all communications support revenue velocity.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for Iridium partners offering continuity, responsiveness, and guidance.
  • Be responsible for managing a defined territory or customer segment and achieving sales targets
  • Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to drive pipeline growth
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling based on customer needs
  • Analyze sales data to uncover trends and recommend improvements
  • Coordinate with marketing, product, and operations to align on go-to-market strategies
  • Improve upon sales processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Participate in channel partner related meetings as requested, including regional partner meetings, and internal Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings and IPC events.
  • Communicate evolving priorities to internal stakeholders, offering actionable voice-of-partner insights.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior inside Sales staff
