About The Position

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing administrative support to other HR professionals and help ensure the efficient and productive operation of the Human Resources Department by performing the duties listed below. This may include processing internal applications and changes as well as maintenance of all electronic and paper personnel, medical, background and termination files in the organization.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Experience working in Human Resources preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide front desk telephone and reception coverage at the Lunar, Island Lane, and Whalley Avenue locations as needed, including during lunches, breaks, and other coverage needs.
  • Complete annual background checks and maintain filing systems, including filing tasks as needed.
  • Audit personnel, medical, background, and terminated files and follow up on all audit outcomes and missing information.
  • Assist employees with insurance benefits enrollment throughout the year and during open enrollment
  • Provide backup support to the Senior Director of Payroll and Benefits for open enrollment, benefits processes, and FMLA.
  • Provide administrative support to the entire HR department.
  • Maintain all employees’ and consumer workers’ personnel, medical, background and termination files.
  • Complete internal hiring process, including routing applications to managers, collecting back interview notes and recommendations in a timely manner, coordinating transfer dates, and working with Data Specialists to process change in Dayforce
  • Ensure the internal hiring process is completed timely and accurately
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by maintaining the confidentiality of appropriate HR records at all times. This includes both electronic records and hard copy (i.e. paper) records.
  • Ensures personnel records are signed in and out when removed and returned from file cabinets.
  • Participate in Open Enrollment activities such as preparing documents for mailings, etc.
  • Ensure that data entered into employee records is accurate and communicate changes to the payroll department as needed.
  • Assist with employee verifications as needed.
  • Attends regularly scheduled management and team meetings
  • Ensures compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Uses Dayforce as a database for employee evaluation due dates and adds completion dates.
  • Ensure that Management Staff are notified on a monthly basis of Evaluations due.
  • Assist with the transfer of paper information to electronic form as needed.
  • Assist with employee verifications as needed.
