Requirements

  • The ideal candidate brings Workday expertise from an HR functional perspective, not a technical/integration background.

  • Workday experience required—particularly in core HCM, business processes, reporting, and security awareness from an HR functional perspective.
  • Experience leading HR systems enhancements by defining business requirements, partnering with IT, and supporting configuration—not performing technical development.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain data confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the HRIS team responsible for Workday configuration, ensuring that changes support HR strategy and compliance—not performing deep technical configuration yourself.
  • Serve as the HR point of contact for system enhancements, collaborating with IT on integrations and technical issues while maintaining HR ownership of requirements.
  • Ensure data governance, data accuracy, and compliance across all HR processes and Workday modules.
  • Create and maintain HR-driven SOPs, training, and documentation for Workday end users.
  • Support unemployment claim processing and employment verifications through systems like The Work Number.
  • Maintain data integrity by running regular audits and exception reports.
