About The Position

This role sits on Grubhub’s Performance Marketing team, reporting into the Senior Manager of Performance Marketing. You will be responsible for leading Grubhub’s in-house paid search team and building a modern, best-in-class paid search program. As our search subject matter expert, you will be expected to surface industry trends and test opportunities to drive consistent performance improvements. The ideal candidate will bring a data-driven approach to their work and constantly look for ways to drive growth and innovation within our paid search program. This role will be responsible for holistically managing the SEM program and driving performance improvements, while securing required buy-in from leadership on initiatives and partnering with various cross-functional stakeholders. As a result, the role also requires exceptional communication and storytelling skills. The ideal candidate will also have a proven ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. We are looking for someone who has an ownership mindset and will successfully balance building a long-term paid search roadmap with overseeing day-to-day performance management and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proven track record in the performance marketing space, with 5+ years experience, including 3+ in paid search experience
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills; must be very comfortable with data analysis and able to use data to make decisions and conduct experiments
  • Hands-on, executional experience in paid search buying platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Apple Search Ads, SA360, etc.)
  • Experience with web and app tracking and attribution knowledge
  • Ability to prioritize requests from cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively influence various functional groups and up to executive levels
  • Strong self-management and influence capabilities and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • SQL experience
  • Experience working in Tableau or other similar BI tools
  • Search Engine Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization expertise

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Grubhub’s paid search channel end-to-end, including forecasting, budget pacing, optimization, and reporting
  • Develop and execute on paid search testing roadmap, including incrementality testing, copy testing, landing page testing, etc.
  • Coach and develop a team of Associates, fostering their professional development and growing their paid search expertise
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business objectives to paid search campaigns that drive measurable impact
  • Manage relationships with paid search vendors (Google, Microsoft, etc.) to stay ahead of platform innovations
  • Stay on top of paid search trends and industry changes
