Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? Pratt & Whitney has an exciting opportunity within the Military Engines Finance team for a Manager of Government Finance. The position will be an onsite role located at our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in SAP and excel, knowledge of the Military Engine and P&W businesses and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 8 years of applicable work experience; OR an advanced degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years of applicable work experience.
  • Strong MS Excel & MS PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
  • US Citizenship required due to business support requirements.

  • Experience in government accounting and compliance (preferably within the aerospace and defense industry).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with government auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong data analytics skills and interpersonal skills with ability to work with individuals and/or team at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end CAS compliance for the certain CAS segments including supporting Forward Pricing Rate Proposals, Rate Accounting and Final Incurred Cost Claim filings with the U.S. Government including negotiations and audit support.
  • Support annual Cost Accounting Changes and updates to the Disclosure Statement.
  • Prepare and support quarterly tracking.
  • Execute mid-year and November estimate at completion (EAC).
  • Support other special projects in the area of Government Accounting and Compliance.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure the complete, accurate and well documented FPRPs, FICCs and other government deliverables for the owned segments. Communicate outcomes to Management clearly and at the appropriate level of detail. Support negotiations with the DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency).
  • Manage and support various Government audits, including DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) and DCMA, and respond to audit requests and findings.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, contracts, and legal departments, to ensure cohesive and compliant business operations.
