The Manager, GMAF Oncology Operational Excellence plays a critical role in enabling high-quality execution of Global Medical Affairs Oncology priorities by providing end-to-end operational leadership for major global oncology congresses. This role partners closely with Global Medical Affairs, R&D, Commercial, regional teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless planning, execution, compliance, and financial stewardship across priority scientific meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs Operations, congress management, project management, or large-scale event execution within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing global, cross-functional, and cross-regional initiatives in highly matrixed, regulated environments.
  • Strong operational, financial, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
  • Approximately 20% domestic and international travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational planning and execution for major global oncology congresses, ensuring alignment to strategy, timelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as a central operational integrator across Global, US, and Regional Medical Affairs, R&D, Commercial, and external partners.
  • Manage external vendors and agencies, including scope definition, SOW development, budget oversight, and performance management.
  • Oversee congress-related budgets, cross-charges, and financial reconciliation, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost optimization.
  • Support standardized congress frameworks, governance models, and ways of working, driving continuous operational improvement.
  • Contribute to congress readiness, materials development, and post-congress after-action reviews.

Benefits

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $113,000 to $195,000.
  • The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.
  • Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses areawarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
