About The Position

Wayfair is seeking a Manager, Global Security Operations & GLOSS Administration to lead the company's Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and drive key Global Safety & Security (GLOSS) initiatives. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Corporate Safety & Security Operations, this leader will own the end-to-end GSOC function, including oversight of the India-based team, ensuring seamless coordination, intelligence-driven decision-making, and consistent global coverage. As a key member of the GLOSS team, the Manager will operate in a dynamic, cross-functional environment that demands both operational excellence and strategic program management. This role leads critical security functions including monitoring, threat detection, incident management, travel and executive security, regulatory compliance, business continuity, and event support while also managing global administrative initiatives that enhance coordination, communication, and alignment across GLOSS functions. Together, these responsibilities strengthen global safety, readiness, and organizational resilience. Success in this position requires close collaboration with business leaders, regional teams, and external partners, as well as the ability to influence stakeholders and maintain strong relationships with government and public safety agencies, including embassy security officers, regulatory authorities, and local emergency services. The Manager ensures Wayfair remains well-prepared and responsive to evolving risks while advancing global safety and security priorities. This position requires a strong balance of tactical execution and strategic leadership. The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and collaborative leader who drives consistency, clarity, and operational excellence across all global safety and security functions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in global safety, security, or operations management, preferably with exposure to GSOC leadership or similar 24/7 operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of global risk management, threat intelligence, incident response, and business continuity principles.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, set measurable goals, and deliver results through collaboration and accountability.
  • Experience managing cross-functional programs or administrative initiatives that drive alignment, process improvement, and communication within a global organization.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence, build trust, and align diverse stakeholders across regions and functions.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with external agencies, including public safety officials, government entities, and regulatory authorities.
  • Flexibility to support international operations and travel as needed for program delivery, stakeholder engagement, and on-the-ground support.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (e.g., sitting or standing).
  • Ability to move about within an office, store, or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily GSOC operations, ensuring 24/7 situational awareness, timely threat detection, and coordinated incident response across all global regions.
  • Oversee, coach, and develop GSOC Supervisors, Analysts, and Operators to drive high performance and professional growth.
  • Establish operational objectives, metrics, and reporting mechanisms that align with broader GLOSS and business goals.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to enable clear communication, rapid escalation, and effective problem-solving.
  • Lead cross-functional responses to critical incidents such as workplace violence, severe weather, and business disruptions.
  • Develop and refine global incident response protocols to ensure consistency, transparency, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Legal, HR, and Facilities teams to assess, manage, and mitigate security risks impacting personnel, property, and business continuity.
  • Oversee global threat monitoring and intelligence gathering to proactively identify and address emerging risks.
  • Deliver concise, actionable intelligence reports to leadership that inform decision-making and preparedness planning.
  • Strengthen detection and escalation processes using security technologies, analytics, and global coordination.
  • Manage executive and employee travel security protocols, including pre-travel assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Plan and oversee security operations for high-visibility corporate events and leadership visits.
  • Ensure comprehensive risk assessments, contingency planning, and real-time support during key events and travel activities.
  • Oversee global administrative and operational programs that drive alignment, communication, and engagement across the GLOSS function.
  • Streamline internal processes, documentation, and resource management to support efficiency and scalability.
  • Partner cross-functionally to advance global initiatives that promote safety, preparedness, and organizational resilience.
  • Support strategic planning and special projects that strengthen GLOSS operations and global program effectiveness.
