Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. Pratt & Whitney has an exciting opportunity for a talented Manager, FP&A – HSMC Asheville to join our team. This position will be an onsite opportunity based our of our Asheville, North Carolina facilities. This position will report to the assistant finance controller and will have financial controls and FP&A responsibilities for the new world-class turbine airfoil production facility in Asheville, North Carolina. In addition, the runway is long for future growth opportunities at the facility. Based in operations finance, you will gain valuable insight into how P&W manufactures OEM turbine airfoils, while understanding strategic major investments that address structural costs, automation, and process improvements. In addition, this position will offer exposure to multiple layers of senior leadership across P&W. It will also foster collaborative teamwork with various departments such as finance, engineering, quality, operations, procurement, materials, programs, and OpEx.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and 8+ years of relevant work experience; OR a Master’s degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management and communicate effectively with peers and customers.
  • Self-starter who enjoys a dynamic work environment; familiarity and comfort with establishing new processes in a “start-up” environment.
  • ERP/EPM systems experience, preferably SAP, HFM, and OneStream.
  • Strong MS Excel & MS PowerPoint abilities.
  • Proficient analytical and problem solving skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Advanced data mining skills (SAP, Business Warehouse, PowerBI).
  • Self-motivated individual who is able to work collaboratively and independently, with limited oversight from supervisors.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships in order to gather information and influence decision making.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to plan, forecast, track progress and use communicative/analytical skills to influence business objectives.
  • Previous supervisory experience a plus as this position will help guide the day to day activities of other team members.

Responsibilities

  • General Support: Assist site leadership with accountability, continuous improvement, and adherence to RTX policies.
  • Time Standards: Lead coordination of time standard activities with the IE team, ensuring accurate SAP postings and supporting the part costing process (ToP initiative).
  • Deliveries: Guide operations/material teams on delivery/output requirements, develop forecasts, and address variances with corrective actions.
  • Hours Metrics: Analyze shop/machine hours to assess impacts on output and cost per hour (CPH).
  • Monthly Closing: Execute month-end close, analyze KPIs, and collaborate to implement after-action reviews and forecasting aligned with MC&O deadlines.
  • AOP/LRP Planning: Co-lead financial planning for annual/long-term plans to align with demand and cost competitiveness.
  • Profit Assurance: Own weekly deliverables, track KPIs, and manage input for forecasts.
  • Operating Expenses: Support cost-reduction initiatives, evaluate metrics, and oversee specific expense categories.
  • Capital Management: Help manage capital budget/forecasting, providing oversight and guidance.
  • SOX Compliance: Assist with annual SOX testing, issue resolution, and audits.
  • Ad Hoc: Handle various assignments, serve as backup to the finance assistant controller, and engage in cross-functional collaboration.
