About The Position

The FP&A Manager role sits at the center of a private-equity-backed, multi-site healthcare platform, where financial insight directly influences strategy, investment decisions, and operational execution. In a PE-backed environment, FP&A is expected to be commercial, rigorous, and proactive. This role is designed for a high-caliber finance professional who wants meaningful ownership, visibility, and a clear path for upward mobility based on performance. This is not a maintenance role. It is an opportunity to shape outcomes, influence leaders, and build a reputation as a trusted advisor. This position is located at our corporate office in Southfield, MI and has a hybrid schedule of Monday-Thursday in office and Friday remote.

Requirements

  • Expert Excel user with strong financial modeling capabilities
  • Critical thinker who challenges assumptions constructively
  • Strong communicator who can simplify complex topics
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
  • Highly organized, accountable, and ownership-driven
  • Motivated by influence, growth, and impact
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a quantitative field
  • 4–6+ years of FP&A or related experience
  • Proven ability to turn complex data into executive-level insight
  • Experience partnering directly with operational leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a DSO, healthcare, retail, or other multi-site services organization
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or similar CPM tools
  • SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Domo, or other advanced analytics tools
  • CPA or strong accounting foundation

Responsibilities

  • Lead short-term and long-term financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis
  • Design and maintain advanced Excel-based financial models to support key decisions
  • Serve as the primary finance business partner to assigned regions
  • Analyze location-level and regional performance to identify: Revenue growth opportunities Cost and efficiency improvements Margin and EBITDA enhancement levers
  • Build and communicate compelling financial narratives that connect results to business drivers
  • Prepare and lead monthly financial reviews with regional leadership, focusing on: Variances and root causes Forward-looking implications Actionable recommendations
  • Partner with operations to evaluate: Staffing and productivity models Capacity utilization Growth and capital investments
  • Proactively surface risks and opportunities and bring solutions, not just analysis
  • Continuously improve FP&A processes, reporting, and tools to increase insight and speed
  • Coach and develop analysts by setting high standards and reinforcing a decision-support mindset
