Title Manager- Foreclosure/ Title/ Default Operations
About The Position
Our Plantation-based law firm is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Title Manager to lead our Title Department within a high‑volume foreclosure and real estate law practice. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee a team responsible for title review, curative work, document preparation, and recording processes across multiple states. We’re looking for someone with deep expertise in title examination, lien resolution, and document management—someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, compliance‑focused environment and is ready to elevate team performance, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in title operations or foreclosure title management within a law firm, title company, or mortgage servicing environment.
- 3+ years of supervisory or management experience leading title examiners or administrative staff.
- Strong knowledge of title examination, lien priority, curative processes, and real estate recording requirements.
- Familiarity with ALTA standards, underwriting guidelines, and state‑specific foreclosure laws.
- Proven ability to manage multi‑state, high‑volume title workflows.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and committed to accuracy and client satisfaction.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with case management systems such as Perfect Practice, ICE, Tempo, or ADR preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the Title Department, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with client, investor, underwriter, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Title Examiners and support staff.
- Review title reports and commitments for ownership, liens, encumbrances, easements, judgments, and chain‑of‑title issues.
- Oversee title curative actions, including lien releases, satisfactions, corrective recordings, and title claims.
- Ensure accurate preparation of FHA and VA title packages and all foreclosure‑related title deliverables.
- Manage document workflows for Assignments of Mortgage (AOMs), Lis Pendens, Title Order Instruments, and related filings.
- Monitor team metrics, workload distribution, and turnaround times to meet strict SLAs.
- Maintain departmental procedures, documentation, and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, vendors, and underwriters to resolve title or document issues quickly and effectively.
- Participate in client calls, audits, and due‑diligence reviews.
