About The Position

Lithionics is entering an exciting new chapter—scaling operations, expanding capabilities, and transitioning into a new facility designed to support the next generation of advanced manufacturing. We’re looking for a Facilities Transition & Operations Manager to lead this pivotal moment and then take ownership of the long-term performance of our new site. This is not a desk-bound facilities role. It’s a hands-on, execution-driven leadership position for someone who knows how to turn plans into reality—coordinating trades, managing infrastructure, supporting manufacturing, and ensuring the facility is safe, compliant, and ready to perform from day one. If you enjoy being at the center of complex facility transitions and then optimizing operations for efficiency, reliability, and cost control, this role was built for you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, facilities management, or a related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, plant operations, or major facility projects
  • Proven experience leading complex facility transitions, relocations, or large-scale upgrades
  • Strong electrical background in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Experience with power distribution, equipment hookups, and electrical contractor coordination
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, and mechanical systems
  • Solid understanding of building codes, NEC, and NFPA standards
  • Highly organized, execution-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Confident working independently while collaborating across Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, EH&S, and IT
  • Strong communicator with attention to detail and a bias for action
  • Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies

  • Journeyman Electrician certification is a plus (not required)

  • Manage contractors and third-party service providers across all trades
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, building code, and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate progress, risks, costs, and decision points clearly to leadership
  • Manage day-to-day operation of facility systems, utilities, and grounds
  • Develop and manage facility and utility budgets; drive cost-reduction initiatives
  • Implement and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs
  • Lead contractor and vendor selection, scope definition, and performance management
  • Partner with EH&S to maintain a safe, compliant working environment
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering with ongoing facility modifications and improvements
  • Lead facility-focused Lean and 5S initiatives related to utilities, workflows, energy efficiency, and space optimization
  • Maintain audit, inspection, and certification readiness
  • Direct and coordinate contractors and service providers to ensure safe, high-quality execution
  • Enforce safety policies and ensure contractor compliance
