Position Summary The American Express Corporate Affairs & Communications (CA&C) team is a strategic function that works to enhance and protect the continued strength of the American Express brand through public relations, social media and content, colleague communications and Corporate Sustainability (CS). Corporate Sustainability is hiring a Manager of Events and Partnerships to report to the Director of Events and Partnerships on the Community Impact team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of community impact activations, events, and projects that support enterprise priorities. The Manager will also support the Director with execution of the American Express Academies portfolio. The Manager will partner closely with the Director on strategy for the portfolio, and lead grantmaking and administration, event logistics, stakeholder engagement, compliance processes, and reporting for the Events & Partnerships portfolio, including initiatives in key American Express markets. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in events, logistics, grants, relationship and project management within complex, matrixed environments. They are highly organized, solutions-oriented, creative and comfortable managing multiple priorities while ensuring compliance and attention to detail.
