About The Position

In this role, you will lead and develop a team of sales engineers supporting enterprise clients across the Eastern United States. You will partner closely with regional sales leadership to drive technical sales strategies, deliver value to customers, and contribute to revenue growth. The position combines hands-on technical expertise with people management, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management of your team. You will serve as a bridge between sales, product, and engineering teams, ensuring customer requirements are addressed and technical solutions are delivered effectively. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on innovation, security, and customer success. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer supporting enterprise accounts
  • 4+ years of leadership experience managing sales engineering teams
  • Strong expertise in container technologies (Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud/container security
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to act as a trusted advisor with customers
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing technical teams
  • Located on the U.S. East Coast

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of sales engineers, providing guidance and professional development
  • Collaborate with regional sales leadership to develop technical sales strategies and account plans
  • Hire and staff sales engineers to support enterprise growth objectives
  • Provide technical expertise during the sales process, including product demonstrations and solution design
  • Track and report key performance metrics, such as Tech Wins/Losses, POV Time to Close, and ARR
  • Provide feedback to product management based on customer requirements and market trends
  • Assist in creating technical sales collateral, including presentations, datasheets, and whitepapers
  • Monitor team performance and implement improvement plans as needed
  • Ensure budget adherence and resource allocation
