About The Position

The City of Peoria is seeking an experienced, hands-on and strategic leader to manage and optimize our Workday ERP platform and lead a small, capable systems team. This is a working manager role - ideal for someone who thrives on both doing the work and leading the way -bringing transformation and long-term success of our ERP platform and team. This role owns the product roadmap, drives platform optimization across configuration, security and integrations, and ensures our system delivers measurable value to HR, Finance and the broader organization. Initially this position will report to a Deputy City Manager and will be at the helm of a dedicated team, guiding Business Analysts and a System Administrator to success.

Requirements

  • Experience managing enterprise systems (Workday a plus)
  • Strong technical skills-help others solve technical problems
  • Leadership experience with small teams
  • Ability to align systems with business goals
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, change management, or related field
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in ERP system administration, configuration, or implementation with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role.
