Position Summary The Manager, Enterprise Project Management (EPM) provides leadership and oversight for a centralized team of project managers supporting initiatives across the organization. This position ensures the disciplined execution of enterprise-wide projects, including key strategic priorities, regulatory initiatives, operational improvements, and cross functional transformation efforts. The incumbent will develop standardized criteria for assigning project managers, create a comprehensive project management framework and performance tracking templates, define best practices, and ensure consistent, high quality delivery of the organization’s priority initiatives. This role is responsible for recruiting, developing, and coaching EPM staff while fostering strong partnerships with leaders across the health plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Management or a directly related field.
  • Five to Seven (5-7) years of project or program management experience, including at least two (2) in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-departmental or enterprise-level initiatives.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Project management experience in Medicare Advantage organization preferred
  • Familiarity with project management tools and platforms (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
  • Proficiency in Windows, including MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a health plan, payer environment, or healthcare delivery system.
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification.
  • Experience standing up or maturing a PMO or centralized project function.
  • Experience with project portfolio management (PPM) systems or enterprise reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a centralized project management capability that supports enterprise initiatives across all departments.
  • Develop criteria and methodology for the assignment of project managers based on project scope, complexity, risk, and organizational impact.
  • Define, implement, and champion standardized EPM processes, tools, templates, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure EPM alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and strategic priorities.
  • Oversee a portfolio of projects to ensure timely delivery, quality outcomes, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Implement project performance tracking and reporting standards, including dashboards and executive level updates.
  • Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress, identify risks, and drive issue resolution.
  • Ensure adoption of project management best practices across the organization.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a team of skilled project managers.
  • Assign project managers to initiatives based on established criteria and workload balancing.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide direction, and support continuous professional development.
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Conduct post-program evaluations and integrate lessons learned into future planning cycles and the development of best practices.
  • Serve as a strategic partner and advisor to executive leadership and departmental leaders on project planning and execution.
  • Facilitate cross functional collaboration to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes in a clear and concise manner to senior leadership and governance committees.
