We’re looking for… A talented and motivated full stack engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. You care deeply not just about the security, performance, and maintainability of your code, but about our mission to elevate early childhood programs with innovative design and quality solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer you will play a lead role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Ruby on Rails, React, and GraphQL. The engineering team at Lillio is made up of full stack web engineers as well as multi-platform mobile experts. From feature enhancements to the core product, ground-up engineering on brand-new architecture, data scaling, and system performance, our team strives for excellence. Requirements

  • Someone who enjoys mentoring and coaching others, inclusive of all backgrounds and in all levels of career development.
  • Someone who loves to see teams working well and will identify and implement new processes in order to do so.
  • A strong understanding of how to plan, build, test, and maintain complex software applications.
  • An adept communicator who ensures everyone is on the same page to execute as a team.
  • A collaborative owner who takes a personal stake in the success of the product and the team to deliver great work and celebrate wins.
  • A strong focus on results, including communicating and solving problems as they arrive.
  • Propensity to always want to learn and improve.
  • Ambition to work hard in order to make an impact through our social mission of improving child outcomes.
  • 3+ years experience leading/managing software development teams.
  • Strong technical background, with the ability to engage in and guide technical discussions, or be hands-on when needed.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for partnering with Product, Design, and other stakeholder teams.
  • Proven ability to align roadmap with business objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SOC2 Controls and Implementation.
  • Experience with AWS, Postgres, Heroku.
  • Familiarity with observability tools
