Location: Denton Job Summary The Engineering and Maintenance Manager will provide daily leadership and long-term vision to the Engineering and Maintenance departments for the Denton Plant. This position is responsible for hands-on development, implementation and measurement of critical engineering processes and programs in the plant and oversight of the Maintenance department. Manages the day-to-day operations of the Engineering department including preventative and predictive programs, reducing cost associated with breakdowns, determining proper staffing, skill levels, and training, and leading the engineering team. Participates in planning, tracking and execution of cap-ex and plant modernization projects. This position requires a hands-on approach with team members and equipment repairs. Responsible for leading the Engineering Team in process improvement and implementation of manufacturing processes that support all functions of production and lean.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Must have prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must possess strong leadership skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in industrial, mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Six Sigma experience, preferably Green or Black Belt
