About The Position

The Employer Engagement & Career Services Manager builds and maintains strong relationships with local employers and supports client success within the One-Stop Centers. This position leads employer engagement activities-including outreach, job fairs, hiring events, and workshops-and coordinates career services that support individuals participating in Title I-B programs. The Manager also trains staff on the Arizona Job Connection (AJC) platform and ensures accurate documentation and compliance with WIOA Title I-B requirements. This role reports directly to the Director of Title I-B One-Stop.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Professional experience engaging with businesses or organizations (examples include business outreach, partner engagement, stakeholder/community engagement, or business-to-business interaction).
  • (Experience must demonstrate confidence communicating with business decision-makers.)
  • Demonstrated experience in career-related service coordination, event planning, and business relationship development, including support for job fairs or employer engagement activities in collaboration with college staff or partners.
  • Strong communication skills; proactively initiates and maintains communication and collaboration with the One-Stop Director, staff, Yavapai College departments, employers, and WIOA partners.
  • Working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, federal regulations under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA, 2014).
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse client populations, employers, and community partners.
  • Ability to learn data systems and maintain accurate documentation for compliance; training on the Arizona Job Connection (AJC) platform will be provided.
  • Willingness to learn workforce processes, system requirements, and federal program expectations; training will be provided.
  • Valid Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card required; candidates without one must begin the process upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain partnerships with employers, chambers, workforce, and economic development partners.
  • Conduct outreach to learn employer hiring needs and connect businesses to Title I-B services and referrals.
  • Assist employers pursuing Registered Apprenticeships by coordinating with the State Apprenticeship Office.
  • Support prospective and current clients through workshops, job fairs, employment coaching, and referrals to training.
  • Guide clients with résumé reviews, interview preparation, job search strategies, and employment opportunities.
  • Standardize career service workflows and train staff on consistent processes.
  • Plan and lead job fairs, hiring events, and workforce development workshops.
  • Manage logistics, timelines, employer participation, and partner coordination.
  • Track outcomes such as attendance, referrals, and successful hires.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of employer support and client activities in AJC.
  • Train staff on AJC data entry standards and updates.
  • Maintain accurate data and generate reports as required.
