Mercer University's Stetson-Hatcher School of Business is searching for a Director of Career Development and Employer Engagement. This position could be based on the Macon campus or Atlanta campus. The Director of Career Development and Employer Engagement provides strategic leadership for all career development, employer relations, and experiential learning initiatives within the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business. This position is responsible for advancing a unified, cross-campus career development model aligned with the School’s mission to equip students with exceptional education, leadership skills, and relevant real-world business experiences that deliver value from the first day of employment onward. The Director oversees career-related curriculum integration, employer partnerships, student coaching and programming, outcomes reporting, and staff development across the Macon and Atlanta campuses. With an emphasis on consistency, accountability, and measurable outcomes, the Director serves as the central leader ensuring that business students receive high-quality, equitable career preparation regardless of location or modality. The Director of Career Development and Employer Engagement is the senior leader responsible for overseeing strategic career development initiatives for students and alumni in the School of Business. The Director supervises the Associate Director and provides leadership in employer engagement, curriculum integration, community partnerships, and student outcomes. A primary emphasis is placed on teaching oversight for embedded career development courses (BUS 202, BUS 302, BUS 305), strengthening corporate relationships, and aligning programming with industry needs.
