About The Position

This position has comprehensive responsibility for all functional areas of multiple plant locations including the efficient operation of; production, maintenance, personnel safety, shipping & receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality, and process improvement. Location: This position will be based out of Tyson’s Corporate Headquarters in Springdale, Arkansas. Relocation assistance may be provided for those candidates that meet the Tyson Relocation policy guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Motivate managers to provide guidance and programs to enhance the skill level of their team members. Resolve issues related to the quality of incoming and outgoing goods. Review cost and performance data to help determine areas in need of improvement. Participate in analyzing efficiency reports, obtaining approval, and executing all capital improvements for the designated facilities. Identify and deliver development opportunities for plant management. Initiate discussion and implementation of improvement in all phases of production. Fill in when necessary, in the absence of a Plant Manager or Complex Manager. Oversee and manage special projects for the Business Unit. Assist in identifying, evaluating, and correcting problems.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, OR equivalent relative work experience
  • Experience: 8 plus years of experience preferred; relevant poultry experience strongly preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to influence a variety of audiences with differing viewpoints.
  • Supervisory: None
  • Travel: 40% Travel (No weekends)
  • Ability to influence key Team Members to push initiatives forward.
  • Collaborate and influence multiple functions and teams
  • Demonstrates formal and informal authority and influence.
  • Lead by example while demonstrating passion for continuous improvement and doing the right thing.
