About The Position

MANAGER OF DIAGNOSTIC AND IMAGING AT THE DANBURY HOSPITAL!! Rare opportunity to join the leadership team in Radiology at the Danbury Hospital. We are growing and looking for an experienced Manager of Radiology (must be certified ARRT in CT have 5 or more years of experience and have a Bachelor's Degree. Pay based on experience with the mid-point being $153,000. Summary: Manages the daily operations of the imaging department at Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital. Provides oversight of hospital-based services , including adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements, including federal and state agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of five years of relevant clinical experience in imaging modalities and a minimum of three years of progressive supervisory experience in Imaging.
  • Minimum Experience: five years
  • Must possess proof of registry with The American Registry of Radiology Technology, CT state license.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Desired: Financial and billing background.

Responsibilities

  • Manages staff, clinical orientations, education, competencies, schedules, performance improvement initiatives, staff meetings and communications.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agency requirements including but not limited to Joint Commission, ACR, and State of Connecticut.
  • Conducts annual performance reviews of direct reports, oversees the distribution of organizational goals, and sets departmental goals.
  • Identifies and monitors resources necessary for safe delivery of patient care to include labor, equipment, and facilities in the department.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective quality control and quality improvement program.
  • Assists with the preparation capital and operating budgets, manages expenses, monitors budget variances and implements corrective action when necessary.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Imaging Services, develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure quality, compliance, safety and customer service.
  • Monitors and promotes a strong customer service focus. Provides leadership for continuous improvement in patient access, Press Ganey and HCAHP scores, turnaround times and physician satisfaction.
  • Promotes a work environment that fosters employee development, promotes self-directed teams and establishes communication processes. Regularly meets with supervisory team and staff to ensure communication and the proper processes and procedures.
  • Interviews, hires, orients, coaches, evaluates and manages performance issues for direct reports, holding supervisors responsible and accountable for their assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Works with the RSO and Radiation Safety Coordinator to ensure all regulatory documentation are accurate and testing is performed within guidelines.
  • Assumes on-call administrative duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
