The Opportunity As the Manager, Design Transfer, you will be responsible for providing leadership and strategy for the Design Transfer function. You will o versee and manage the transfer of all products from R&D into o perations and e xpedite, manage, and coordinate a multitude of interrelated activities including other functional requirements within the constraints of limited human and financial resources and changing priorities while r emov ing organizational barriers to achieving results and s ecur ing and justify ing project funding.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a leadership role .
  • Has successfully led the transfer of multiple significant projects.
  • Must have good working knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVD products and have experience with products under design control.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Recognizes strategy, evaluates risks, recommends actions and develops contingencies to address various scenarios.
  • Able to analyze risk/tradeoffs and determine the appropriate path forward.
  • Anticipate long-term future problems, resolve current issues, learn and adjust based on prior results and prior project leadership experience.
  • Recognize the implications of actions and proposals on the final project outcome; related systems and activities; and general business strategy.
  • Works cross-functionally with leadership to insure successful transfer and commercialization of new products.
  • Manages by influence across functional boundaries.
  • Demonstrated technical skills and management judgment appropriate to the project.
  • Manages and allocates the resources for the Design Transfer function across all projects to meet new product development milestones and goals.
  • Accountable for achievement of product transfer and launch goals for all new product development projects
