About The Position

OEC provides software solutions to those who work in the automotive parts and repair industry. Our solutions make it easier for automotive industry professionals to buy and sell parts, conduct repair research & planning, optimize estimates, improve the parts supply chain, and more. OEC partners with many of the world’s largest manufacturers, dealers and suppliers, shops and repairers, and service providers, giving our customers access to a comprehensive network and a streamlined workflow. Manager, Critical Systems Infrastructure to work in Fairlawn, OH: Principal contact for cloud operation activities, and coordinate with other areas of the company to drive technical architecture plans, upgrades, and best practices to achieve database goals and cloud operation objectives. Opportunity to work from home. Full-time at 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (or equivalent based on evaluation of academic credentials, training and/or experience) as well as twelve (12) months in job or job related experience to include manage and lead team of technology professionals; monitor and evaluate performance.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback on performance, and ensure timely completion of deliverables; ensure team documentation is maintained; complete performance analysis and optimization on a proactive basis, to assure the company achieves targeted service levels, cost reductions, and maximum availability and resilience; and develop budget recommendations and participate in forecasting and budgeting activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of technology professionals.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance, provide ongoing coaching and feedback on performance, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Assist team members with solving complex issues and remove roadblocks.
  • Ensure team documentation is maintained.
  • Ensure appropriate governance and controls are in place to manage risk and incorporate into team reviews.
  • Perform demand and work allocations and resource management for the team.
  • Identify, recommend and champion improvements to cloud infrastructure that increases performance, reduces costs, improves availability, and provides more value to customers.
  • Verify that team members are completing performance analysis and optimization on a proactive basis, to assure the company achieves targeted service levels, cost reductions, and maximum availability and resilience.
  • Manage department budget(s).
  • Develop budget recommendations and participate in forecasting and budgeting activities as requested.
