About The Position

The Manager, Corporate Strategy will be a key partner in developing and refining corporate and business unit strategy. This individual will help craft the corporate roadmap and identify critical customer, competitive and macroeconomic trends impacting the business. This role will work closely with leaders across the organization on decisions that help improve our market share, profitability, and competitive advantage in a rapidly changing industry. This is a hybrid position that is onsite in Lake Forest 3 days a week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2+ years of consulting experience from a strategy consulting firm, including generalist experience across multiple industries preferred
  • 2+ years of Corporate Venture Capital experience from a fortune 500 firm preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial or investment due diligence preferred
  • Experience managing multiple high-profile assignments.
  • Experience bringing structure to ambiguous problems, framing key questions and developing a work-plan to answer them.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills and proficiency with excel (can perform complex functions)
  • Experience building presentations with PowerPoint (deck writing) with messaging appropriate for audiences at all levels
  • Experience in understanding complex customer needs, understanding competitive dynamics, and framing potential growth strategies
  • Experience in aggregating disparate market, customer, and expert information into a cohesive recommendation for executive leaders

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred but not required: exposure to industrials within consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the corporate strategic planning process including corporate development and business unit strategy across segments
  • Develop unbiased point-of-view on the critical issues facing our business at both the corporate or business unit level
  • Engage with P&L's or functional areas on high impact strategy projects
  • Bring relevant competitor and market perspective to internal leaders
  • Support executive team on regular cadence of internal or external communications
  • Lead development of due diligence on potential investment opportunities relevant to the organization's strategy
  • Support Corporate Development in execution of minority investment deals
