About The Position

This position leads and supervises the Continuing Education, non-credit program for the service area. The position oversees and manages the short and long-term planning, budget development and management, and operations to meet the diverse educational needs of the community and contributes to the overall mission of Aims. This position develops and designs new continuing education programs based on research in market demands, industry trends, the needs of learners, personal judgment and the continual assessment, history and program objectives. This position represents and provides expertise on the continuing education program to the college, to businesses and to the community. Occasional travel to satellite campuses may be required.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Business, Public Relations, Communications, Student Affairs, Education, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in adult education, outreach, non-credit programming, or program planning and management, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • This position requires the use of a company vehicle and/or personal vehicle for business travel. The selected candidate must successfully pass an MVR and be insurable under Aims insurance
  • Experience in innovative marketing techniques across a variety of channels
  • End-to-end program lifecycle management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
  • Ability to gather data, compile, and analyze for decision making and report generation
  • Advanced in computer software/applications and ability to learn new system
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Excel at building professional relationships both internally and externally, and working on cross-departmental teams

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the production of a regular continuing education course schedule; assessing the quality of the program and implementing change when needed.
  • Approves processes and establishes guidelines for operational procedures.
  • Implement continuous evaluation practices for program planning purposes.
  • Review/study program courses to determine best fit in regards to relevance of the overall program.
  • Utilizes data for strategic planning and analyzing purposes.
  • Manages records of all CE students, instructors, and courses.
  • Develops, manages, and monitors the CE budget, as well as all revenue reports.
  • Is responsible for overseeing the breakeven analysis for each course.
  • Provides leadership to all program instructors and partial Loveland staff through training, program development, best practices, and daily support.
  • Resolves problems/issues within the program by utilizing best practices, judgment, research, and leadership skills.
  • This position will support spontaneous projects and partnerships that are likely to occur throughout the year. To include grant writing, event planning, community focus groups, community events, statewide meetings, national conferences, and client management database.
  • Support and provide recommendations to Deans, Department Chairs, Directors and Program Coordinators in developing growth plans for increasing non-credit continuing education courses and certifications that align and complement the success of academic programs.
  • Provides guidance/counsel to the college, Deans, Department Chairs, Directors and Program Coordinators on the operations, purpose and other unfamiliar concepts of continuing education.
  • This position will work closely with Executive Directors of the Loveland, Fort Lupton and Windsor campuses to meet and advise on how to grow the continuing education program on each campus.
  • Work closely with businesses to develop and manage partnerships that will enable collaboration in resources, curriculum, instructors, and support.
  • Work closely with workforce and economic development boards, small development centers, chambers, and community organizations to develop relationships to further outreach opportunities.
  • Engage with community members to identify and collaborate on ongoing curriculum and program development for Continuing Education.
  • Work with the Executive Director to liaise with the Aims Community College service area to develop needed non-credit programming.
  • Utilize and participate in best practices and opportunities with professional organizations associated with Continuing Education such as LERN, NCCE, NCWE.
  • This position actively recruits & hires instructors.
  • Supervises, coaches, mentors and trains all CE instructors.
  • Provides leadership, guidance and support as they onboard, as they develop their programs and on their continued journey with the program.
  • Assists with coaching and mentoring the Loveland Campus front desk staff and Loveland/Coordinator I by providing leadership, guidance, and best practices to meet CE /Aims mission.
  • Resolves high-level issues with students, instructors and staff by using experiences with feedback, history, best practices, and best judgements.
  • Evaluates all CE instructors.
  • Approves timecards for all CE instructors.
  • Provides recommendations for termination for CE instructors to HR.
  • Responsible for effective marketing strategies to drive the growth of non-credit enrollment.
  • Responsible for the oversight of the creation and distribution for 80k+ print catalogs that will be delivered to the service area.
  • Collaborate with Continuing Education team, MarCom, Reprographics and outside services for the oversight of marketing through social media, print, digital marketing, maintenance of website / ed2Go online course offerings, targeted industry marketing for specific programs, representation at community events, and analysis of ROI on marketing initiatives.
