As a Manager – Consulting (Manufacturing), you will make an impact by leading business transformation initiatives for manufacturing clients across the value chain—from sourcing and procurement to manufacturing and distribution. You will be a valued member of the Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy & Utilities (MLEU) Consulting unit in the Americas region and work collaboratively with clients and Cognizant teams to deliver strategic outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of consulting and/or industry experience in manufacturing.
  • Proven expertise in configure-to-order and process-oriented environments.
  • Strong customer-facing capabilities with a track record for selling and delivering consulting engagements.
  • Experience engaging Director/VP-level stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of R&D, PLM, and integrated design and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong leadership, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience authoring thought leadership and speaking at industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead transformation programs for manufacturing clients, including configure-to-order and process-oriented environments.
  • Provide strategic guidance and tailored solutions across operations, supply chain, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements and operational excellence.
  • Develop supply chain strategies: inventory management, demand forecasting, and logistics optimization.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies; measure value realization.
  • Manage client relationships (Manager through Director level), ensuring delivery quality and stakeholder alignment.
  • Contribute to thought leadership development through white papers, workshops, and webinars.
