The Role The Manager, Community Outreach and LBE fosters strong relationships with the communities served by JFK, including local businesses (LBEs), schools, civic groups, and local institutions. The role develops and implements outreach strategies that enhance JMP’s community presence while promoting its brand, services, and commitments across digital, social, and traditional channels. The Manager, Community Outreach and LBE leads key initiatives in community outreach, marketing, events, and social media to strengthen Terminal 6’s brand, support commercial activity, and ensure JMP is recognized as a responsible and engaged corporate partner.

Requirements

  • Ideally, you hold an undergraduate university degree in Business Administration, Public or Governmental Relations, Law or a related field. A Master’s of Business Administration considered an asset.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in community relations and marketing, ideally on complex infrastructure projects. In addition, the following are preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with impacted stakeholders
  • Strong capabilities in reporting and analysis are matched by strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and implementation, program management and change management
  • Knowledge of local community.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; must be comfortable connecting and communicating with individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members for exceptional performance and contribution
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations, bring options and provide recommendations
  • Solutions-driven and a self-starter, who understands the importance of accuracy and timeliness, making a difference and contributing to the success of the business.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, while delivering on time without compromising quality
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in dynamic environments
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate uncertainty
  • Clear oral and written communication; adapts messages to diverse audiences; prepares reports, presentations, and training materials.
  • Comfortable using HRIS and ATS platforms, such as ADP and iCIMS, with the ability to learn new platforms and tools seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic community outreach programs, maintaining strong ties with local organizations, schools, civic groups, and community institutions.
  • Develop and implement two-way communication strategies addressing the needs of surrounding airport communities.
  • Represent JMP as a responsible corporate steward and primary liaison for community concerns.
  • Establish programs supporting youth engagement, aviation education, civic participation, and volunteerism.
  • Manage relationships with residents, businesses, and government officials to support Terminal 6 operations.
  • Identify and support operational procurement opportunities, including LBE contracting.
  • Engage senior leaders and stakeholders to champion LBE goals and KPIs.
  • Participate in LBE working groups, forums, and task forces to maintain program visibility.
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional campaigns supporting Terminal 6 events and activities.
  • Serve as brand ambassador, ensuring consistency across signage, materials, apparel, and public-facing assets.
  • Write and contribute to external communications, campaign materials, and community reports.
  • Conduct market research and apply analytics to refine marketing strategies.
  • Manage the Terminal 6 social media identity and digital content strategy.
  • Build and execute cross-platform content aligned with marketing, community, and commercial goals.
  • Track and analyze outreach, marketing, and social media metrics.
  • Engage leadership and cross-functional partners to advance outreach, LBE, and marketing initiatives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events supporting community, commercial, and civic initiatives.
  • Oversee event logistics, vendor coordination, branded materials, and post-event evaluation.
  • Leverage internal and external networks to strengthen program impact and visibility.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, briefings, and written communications.
  • Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned.
