We’re continuing to expand our presence in Queens, so we’re seeking a bilingual (English- and Korean-speaking) Community Partnerships Manager to lead our engagement efforts in this community. However, this position is based primarily in Queens and requires substantial in-person outreach and engagement. Depending on your day-to-day responsibilities, you may be able to work remotely for a few days out of the week. To achieve our vision, we are searching for a highly self-motivated Community Partnerships Manager with a Bachelor’s Degree, and ideally 4-6+ years of experience and proven success in community affairs, community partnerships, field marketing, sales, and/or customer engagement. Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is required. The ideal candidate has: A deep understanding of the communities and neighborhoods that Zeta aims to serve in Queens, particularly Flushing, Elmhurst, and Jamaica Strong communication skills and a professional presence, with the ability to connect authentically across diverse communities and stakeholders A self-starter mentality with a strong sense of ownership, consistently turning ideas into action and following through to completion A track record of independently driving results and meeting ambitious goals A creative and solutions-oriented approach to challenges Comfort planning and hosting events, and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed Experience creating and delivering presentations to internal stakeholders and community members Experience working in education or other mission-aligned, high growth organizations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4-6+ years of experience and proven success in community affairs, community partnerships, field marketing, sales, and/or customer engagement

Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture strong partnerships with community based organizations, cultural groups, and local leaders in Queens (with a particular focus on Flushing, Elmhurst, and Jamaica) to introduce Zeta’s mission and deepen its community presence
  • Establish Zeta as a top educational choice within the Queens community, representing the organization with professionalism and credibility
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in community events, information sessions, and outreach activities that build awareness and excitement about Zeta’s presence in Queens
  • Facilitate community conversations and gather feedback from families and stakeholders
  • Maintain an active, visible presence in the neighborhood through tabling events, cultural festivals, and local forums
  • Research and map key community trends in Queens to inform outreach priorities and tailor engagement strategies
  • Partner with various teams across the organization, including Family Outreach & Enrollment, Engagement & Impact, and Family Wow
  • Wear multiple hats as a part of a scale-up team by supporting the work of others on the team and taking on new projects and tasks as needed
