Develops, implements and manages child advocacy programs for designated content area. Lead program strategy, design and implementation. Oversees diverse team of clinical and non-clinical staff and program budgets, including responsibility for operations, contracts, and grants. Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in program planning and management
  • 5 years of experience in management of staff and budget
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or master’s degree in Mental Health, Nutrition, Public Health, Health Promotion, or related field
  • Certification as applicable to position
  • For injury and illness prevention, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact, if bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • For obesity, Georgia licensed dietitian currently registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or nationally recognized exercise certification or Registered Nurse with obesity-related experience.
  • For behavioral and mental health, licensure if mental health related profession through accrediting entity.
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License
  • Proven ability to design and implement programs that drive large-scale change
  • Must be able to partner with diverse stakeholders working toward a common goal
  • Demonstrate strategic planning and management skills, including ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environment, manage time and multiple assignments, meet frequent deadlines, shift priorities and work independently and with teams
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills, including ability to collaborate with and influence individuals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Oversees programs, serving as a member of the Child Advocacy management team.
  • Develops and manages program budgets.
  • Manages and reports about deliverables for grants and contracts.
  • Manages both clinical and non-clinical staff, providing clear direction and maximizing individual strengths and career aspirations.
  • Maintains knowledge of designated content related research, trends, and best practices.
  • Develops, coordinates, implements, and supports evaluation of programs and projects that impact defined populations.
  • Tracks and reports performance and participation data and recommends opportunities for improvement.
  • Takes initiative to improve both processes and outcomes, incorporating best practice and/or appropriate leadership and implements procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintains and builds relationships with internal and external key stakeholders, including community partners and state agencies.
  • Collaborates with Child Advocacy Marketing to develop program brand and messaging.
  • Responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a team including interviewing, hiring, training, developing, directing work and processes, managing performance, recognizing, and rewarding employees.
  • Mentors team members to encourage personal and professional growth.
  • Encourages ongoing skill development by providing opportunities for continued education.
  • Use a personal vehicle, as needed, to travel between sites, attend off-site meetings, meet with program stakeholders, and perform other related job duties.
