About The Position

Optum Insight is dedicated to improving the flow of health data and information to create a more connected system, reducing friction and driving alignment between care providers, payers, and consumers. Leveraging deep industry expertise and innovative technology, the company helps organizations reduce costs while enhancing risk management, quality, and revenue growth. The Chart Retrieval Outreach area focuses on contacting hospital facilities and physician provider groups to obtain patient medical charts through email/phone conversations. These charts are received via various channels, including fax, portals, electronic medical record systems, and in-person photocopying. As a Manager in this area, you will oversee approximately 60 staff members across 5 teams, ensuring the maximum number of usable medical charts are collected within specified timeframes. This role requires a strong understanding of complex processes to develop strategy, establish operational standards, and optimize resource utilization. An effective manager will possess strong communication and relationship skills, a good grasp of AI and technical solutioning, and the ability to use data for decision-making. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S., though hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. areas will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Requirements

4+ years of healthcare experience
3+ years of contact center experience
3+ years managing people
Experience initiating and driving efficiency improvement projects from start to finish
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software

Responsibilities

Ensure that the teams retrieve the highest possible number of medical charts within established timeframes
Develop and utilize team performance reporting
Bring efficiency through process redesign and technical enhancements
Coordinate work effectively within a matrix of teams
Assist in strategic planning and budgeting
Effectively communicate with, manage, and develop staff
Provide reporting and attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Support internal quality assurance efforts
