About The Position

The Strategy & Planning Community encompasses Strategic Planning, Transformation Execution, Analytics & Insights, and Property Strategy. The Transformation Execution team is a new team that we are standing up to oversee execution of our multi-year strategic transformation. The Transformation Execution Team will build out the program, project and change management methodology and tools, drive a robust and rigorous planning process, and coordinate activities with leaders and teams across the organization. The Transformation Execution team will provide oversight of the most critical initiatives to ensure a successfully executed transformation. POSITION SUMMARY The Manager, Change Management, executes the change strategies for priority transformation initiatives, supporting adoption of new ways of working and achievement of transformation outcomes. This role partners closely with initiative owners, program delivery leads, and functional teams to plan and deliver stakeholder engagement, communications, and readiness activities aligned to enterprise transformation objectives.

Requirements

  • Change Management experience: Understands transformation methodologies, able to drive change management, apply established change management methodologies and adoption practices; has experience of delivering change initiatives within a federated model across a nationwide network of stakeholders.
  • Business acumen: Strategic problem-solving ability; ability to forecast predictive performance of workstream(s)
  • Bias to action: Dives into content and actions needed to drive change versus solely plan/track 'from the center.'
  • Works horizontally: Collaborative to navigate across communities in managing interdependent complexities and roadblocks.
  • Prior experience: Preferably 5+ years of change management experience, ideally with organization-wide communications and nationwide network of stakeholders, in a federated model.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Promotes culture of empowerment while holding teams accountable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Competency in Microsoft Power BI or similar software
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder change management programs or enterprise transformations. Demonstrated success leading initiative level change strategies tied to business or transformation outcomes, not just communications or training delivery.
  • Relevant certifications required: Prosci and/or ACMP CCMP or equivalent.

  • Relevant certifications preferred (not required): PMP/PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Lead the change management delivery execution for assigned transformation initiatives to ensure adoption of new ways of working across the GSUSA Movement.
  • Support identification of required behavioral and operational shifts in partnership with initiative and functional leaders.
  • Develop and maintain change plans for assigned initiatives, aligned to overall transformation priorities.
  • Develop and maintain integrated change plans aligned to workstream timelines, ensuring change activities are embedded within program execution.
  • Execute approaches to monitor change readiness, sentiment, and adoption through surveys, pulse checks, and other feedback mechanisms.
  • Identify resistance patterns, organizational barriers, and change risks; design targeted interventions to support successful adoption.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership on behaviors, practices, and leadership actions required to activate change and model new ways of working.
  • Drive multi-channel communication and engagement to build alignment and momentum across stakeholders throughout the transformation journey.
  • Develop and deliver multi-channel communications to engage internal teams, councils, and key stakeholders across the Girl Scout Movement.
  • Partner closely with functional teams to coordinate messaging, change narratives, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Develop targeted messaging and engagement techniques for executive leaders, initiative owners, and impacted stakeholder groups.
  • Support senior leaders by preparing messaging and materials to help communicate the transformation vision, progress, and expected behavioral shifts.
  • Facilitate feedback loops that capture insights from stakeholders and translate them into actionable improvements to change strategies.
  • Enable initiative teams and leaders to successfully implement change by providing practical guidance, tools, and capability building.
  • Partner with Program Delivery leaders and initiative owners to integrate change milestones, adoption metrics, and readiness activities into initiative execution plans.
  • Advise initiative owners and project managers on change management interventions, stakeholder engagement strategies, and adoption tracking.
  • Collaborate with the Transformation Governance team to embed change management practices into transformation frameworks, tools, and templates.
  • Identify adoption readiness within assigned initiatives to develop targeted enablement, training, or upskilling initiatives.
  • Provide structured reporting to Transformation Execution leadership on change progress, adoption metrics, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Support change management efforts to strengthen the successful adoption and integration of the Transformation team across the organization.
  • Support execution of the change approach to introduce and embed the Transformation Execution team’s role, processes, and ways of working across the organization.
  • Support communications for how teams engage with Transformation Execution team, including initiative intake, governance forums, and program delivery processes.
  • Develop engagement materials to build awareness, understanding, and trust in the Transformation Execution among leadership, initiative owners, and council partners.
  • Develop enablement materials and guidance to help leaders and teams effectively work with the Transformation Execution and navigate transformation processes.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders across GSUSA and the council network to continuously improve transformation processes, engagement approaches, and operating practices.
